Biography

Heather D.S. Anderson, Director of Academic Affairs and Advising for the Honors College, began working at Mason in the Honors Program in 2007. As a founding member of the Mason Academic Advisors Network, she serves on various committees across Mason to expand advising and coordinate support services for undergraduate students at Mason. To align the College with its goals of diversity and inclusion, Ms. Anderson has developed a transfer program for the College that allows both transfer students to Mason and rising sophomores at the university to apply to the Honors College. This transfer program also includes a unique Research Methods course developed for students transferring into the College to prepare them for their Honors coursework. Ms. Anderson also teaches Research Methods I and II and Reading the Arts in the College.
