The Honors College at George Mason University welcomes technology leader Bill Streilein to its Dean’s Advisory Board. Streilein brings deep expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and national security to support the Honors College’s mission of preparing students to create bold solutions for a changing world.
Streilein serves as chief technology officer at Noblis, where he leads the organization’s technology strategy, laboratories, and innovation programs. He brings more than 30 years of experience in advanced research and mission-driven technology, with a career focused on applying cutting-edge science to address critical national challenges.
Before joining Noblis, Streilein held leadership roles at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and served as the inaugural chief technology officer for the Department of Defense’s Chief Digital and AI Office. In that role, he helped shape the department’s approach to data, analytics, and artificial intelligence, contributing to enterprise-scale innovation across national security systems.
A senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Streilein is recognized for his leadership in advancing artificial intelligence and its applications across complex domains.
Through his service on the Dean’s Advisory Board, Streilein will help guide the Honors College as it expands opportunities for students to engage with real-world challenges, interdisciplinary research, and emerging technologies.
