Honors College Recruitment Team
The Honors College Recruitment Team (HCRT) is an organization that works alongside the Honors College and Admissions in an effort to inform and engage with prospective students to get them to apply, and eventually commit to the honors college. We participate in most Mason admissions events, Honors Info sessions, and panels, and host class shadows for those prospective students.
Aside from that, they are an active organization on campus. They have weekly meetings every Friday to check in on each of their members and club activities, as well as complete trainings, prepare for upcoming admissions events, and planning teambuilding workshops/activities for their members.
Rosy Sultana
Rosy Sultana is the director of the Honors College Recruitment Team. She is a current Junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and an Accelerated Masters in Software Engineering. She is also a research assistant, a tutor, a Mason Ambassador on campus, as well as an ML/AI Engineering Intern off campus. She has been with HCRT since her freshman year, and is really proud to represent an organization that is committed to informing and welcoming new students into the unique experience which is the Mason’s Honors College.
Savannah Martincic
Savannah Martincic serves as the External Outreach Coordinator for the Honors College Recruitment Team. She is a senior majoring in communication with a concentration in journalism and minoring in Spanish and social justice.
Claire
Claire is an Economics major that is also minoring in Global Systems and Spanish. She has been in the Honors College Recruitment Team for over a year now as well as mentoring for the Honors College Connects. She also works at the GMU bookstore and loves working with her peers! HCRT has been a great way for her to work on her communication skills and build connections within the Honors College.
Magaly Cabrera-Ortiz
Magaly Cabrera-Ortiz is a super-super senior at Mason. She is studying Community Health with a concentration in Clinical Science (Pre-Med). After transferring from JMU, GMU has allowed her to reconnect with her roots after growing up and attending schools in Fairfax. Ortiz works for FCPS and enjoys working with high schoolers and athletes! As HCRT's current Program Organizer, she looks forward to better knowing prospective high schoolers to organize class shadows.
