Math Registration

  • MATH 116, the Honors section of Calculus II, is recommended only for students who earned a 5 on the AB portion of the Calculus AP or a 6 or 7 on the IB Math HL exam. Students who are not confident about their calculus abilities and who plan to take higher-level math classes may wish to retake MATH 113 or 114.
  • If enrolling in MATH 114 or 116, you can also enroll in PHYS 160.
  • A placement test is required for MATH 108, MATH 113, MATH 123, and MATH 125.  You may receive credit for MATH 113 and MATH 123 if you have qualifying scores in AP Calculus AB/BC or IB Math SL/HL (please see chart above).  Information about the placement test can be found at the Math Placement Test Website.
