Welcome to Mason's University Scholars Program.

Each year, about 25 new students became University Scholars – the highest distinction and most competitive academic scholarship awarded to incoming students. These students have demonstrated evidence of intellectual vision, a commitment to the obligations of citizenship, and the potential to overcome obstacles and solve challenging problems.

These students receive a scholarship covering the full cost of tuition over four years, and they participate in a holistic four-year undergraduate experience designed to foster their development as citizens, researchers, and innovative thinkers.

While the University Scholars represent diverse interests and experiences, they share a deep intellectual curiosity, a commitment to leadership and service, and a thoughtful approach to their undergraduate education. Together, these students constitute a vibrant community of learners and leaders who challenge each other to explore new ideas and new possibilities.
