The Honors Curriculum is the curriculum for Mason’s Honors College. The Core of the curriculum is designed to satisfy the University General Education requirements through a small number of interdisciplinary courses, allowing students increased opportunities to pursue minors or other individual interests. Each Honors student begins the program with HNRS 110: Research Methods, and completes the program with the capstone course HNRS 353: Technology in the Contemporary World.

Requirements and Registration

Below are links to information to help you through the advising process. In particular see the Advising Sheet for your major, which gives a sample schedule for most majors approved by the departments. These programs incorporate major requirements together with the required Honors Curriculum for at least the first four semesters for most majors.

Online Advising Process

Under each track below are schedule recommendations that incorporate major requirements and Honors Curriculum requirements into a four-year sample schedule. Select the appropriate track and major to view an advising sheet for that major.

To begin the advising process:

1. Select the appropriate advising sheet for your major below via the appropriate tab
2. Select and print off the advising sheet for your major
3. Select the “start the advising process” link

If you do not see an advising sheet for your major, review the “start the advising process” for your appropriate track and then please call the Honors College at 703-993-1110.
